In
Munich you can find many different kinds of Munich hotels.
The most important thing is to choose the right one for
your requests. The town offers 44,000 hotel-beds, enough
for all visitors? Normally yes, but in Munich's fifth
season, the season of the octoberfest it's hard to find
an accomodation.
For
a sightseeing tour in Munich, especially by foor or street
car in the centre the hotels around the Old Town are
the best adress. You find hotels in all cathegories there.
From the first class world famous Kempinski
Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten to Hotel
Europäischer Hof near the central
railway station.
The InterCity
Hotel is the first you find when you arrive
in Munich by train. It is located in the building of
the central railway station. In the former post office
in Bayerstrasse at the central railway station is the
new Hotel
Dorint
Sofitel Bayerpost with impressive modern
interieur. Opposite the station in Bayerstrasse is
the Hotel Europäischer Hof,
which was founded in 1872. Northern the station in
Arnulfstrasse is the First class Superior Eden
Hotel Wolff.
If
you want to stay closer to the Old Town, there is the
Hotel Excelsior in Schützenstrasse or, for those who don't
want to spend much money the easy palace hotel also in
Schützenstrasse.
The
list of the First Class hotels in Munich is long. Well
known is the Kempinski
Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten in Maximilianstrasse,
a noble shopping mile. It was founded in 1852
as an elegant hotel in which persons of rank could stay according to their
status.
The
Hotel Bayerischer
Hof founded 1841 at Promenadeplatz
offers for example a champagne-breakfast with view over the roofs
of Munich.
A
relative new building is the imposant Mandarin
Oriental hotel in Neuturmstrasse. This is in the centre of the
Old Town with its wonderful sights and cultural live
as theatre and opera. Not far from here is the famous
Hofbrauhaus,an original bavarian restaurant with live brass music.
Near the Hofbrauhaus is the Hotel and restaurant Platz'l, a hotel with
cozy flair and munich's famous hospitality.
The
eastern border of the Old Town marks the Isartor, built
in 1337 as outer wall of the ancient town of munich.
Here you find the Hotel
Torbräu. It's Munich's
oldest hotel with over 500 years. First Class status and italian
restaurant fulfill the wishes of today's guests.
